Job Description

  • Organize entertainment, put together shows, perform, attend other cruise performances. 
  • Oversee the development of entertainment programs and ensure that all aspects of cruise ship entertainment (including lectures) go smoothly.
  • Ensure lighting, sound and any technical aspects are ready for the ship’s performances.
  • The Entertainment Host is expected to be proactive and creative in relation to programming to maintain and/or increase guest satisfaction scores.
  • Must effectively practice proper time management to prepare, execute and break down set ups and venues for assigned activities and events.
  • It is the responsibility of the Entertainment Host to be accessible to and approachable with the guests at all times. He/She must be capable of being a patient listener while making the guests feel at home.  
  • Develop activity programming sensitive to guest demographics and itinerary fluctuations.

Requirements

  • Person must be fluent in English and Italian language skills considered as advantage.
  • Entertainer host must be a social and outgoing person.
  • Previous experience in an upscale hotel, resort, cruise ship, entertainment, or recreational industry (shipboard experience preferred).
  • Is capable to playing one instrument or is skilled in DJ-ing. Preferably should have singing capabilities to basic extend.
  • Strong management skills and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
  • Passionate about hospitality and customer service, teambuilding and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent communication, problem solving, decision making, and interpersonal skills.
