The position As a Finance Manager, you will be responsible for all financial and fiscal matters within Samskip Sia. You will not only be hands on with finances, but have business acumen as well. We are looking for a Finance Manager that enjoys being involved in transactional and tactical tasks as required. You will directly supervise a small team and report to the Managing Director. Some specific examples of your responsibilities include the following: • Accounting, internal and external reporting, business controlling and finance management. • Overseeing the external audit, reviewing and analysing the results and recommending for approval the audited financial statements. • Assessing the long term financial trends and reviewing prospects for future growth of income and new product areas. • Developing and preparing financial performance measurement and key indicator reports on financial controls. • Monitoring business performance with appropriate follow up; reviewing reports and analysing projections of sales and income against actual figures and suggesting methods to improve the planning process. • Developing and managing the company’s financial system SAP further. • Supporting management in the preparation of budgets and financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, tax returns and reports to the Government regulatory agencies. • Ensuring that the Company meets its financial and legal responsibilities.

Requirements

We ask • Bachelor degree in Finance or Economics or Accounting. • Proficient knowledge in the following areas: Latvian and international generally accepted accounting principles, computerized accounting programs (preferably SAP FiCo), preparation of financial statements, preparation of financial management reports, preparation of financial budgets and forecast reports, payroll and an understanding of relevant country legislations. • Well-developed accounting skills and experience in the area of credit control. • Computer skills including the ability to operate and manage computerized financial and payroll information systems. Advanced knowledge of Excel. • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy. • Drive and determination, result-oriented hands on approach. Ability to work independently, with initiative, self-motivation and discipline. Ability to deal with complexity. • Ability to collaborate with others across the organisation to achieve common goals of the company. Ability to work in a cross cultural environment. • Ability to motivate people effectively to produce desire results. • Excellent knowledge and fluency in Latvian and English, both verbal and written.
