What you will do
Automation Support Team Leader is part of the global Enterprise Automation CoE team within Corporate IT. Reporting into a Global Automation DevOps Lead you will manage a team of in-house and 3rd party Automation Support Analysts, who work together to support delivery of automation projects and production automated solutions within JCI. You will work closely with the core Enterprise Automation CoE members to drive improvements to the Automation Operations within JCI.

This position will suit technical people managers such as IT Managers, Solutions Architects and Senior ITSM Engineers.

How you will do it

  • Manages Level1, Level2 and Level3 resources within Automation Operations team
  • Being accountable for maintaining 24x5 Level1 operational support, 16x5 Level2 operational support and 8x5 Level3 operational support, ensuring its highest quality
  • Being accountable for successful migration of automated solutions into UAT and PRODUCTION environments
  • Drives innovations and automation within all levels of Automation Operations activities and standard operating procedures
  • Reports daily operational results to the Enterprise Automation CoE management
  • Triages incoming escalations from Business Users and/or Automation Owners
  • Works closely with other Enterprise IT teams to ensure correct addressing, action, and resolving of issues and blockers escalated by all levels of Automation Support and Automation Delivery teams
  • Partners with core Enterprise Automation CoE members to drive optimization and cost effectiveness to automation server infrastructure and network connectivity
  • Assumes responsibility for open requests and ensures meeting SLAs for completion
  • Evaluates and recommends new opportunities for enhancing software, hardware and IT processes within automation infrastructure landsc

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of proven IT management, people leadership and team building experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with any RPA platform and/or Emerging Technologies such as AI, OCR, Machine Learning or Chatbots
  • Understanding of the IT landscape, systems and integration architecture in large organizations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications, and presentation skills
  • English language to a business proficiency level
  • Proven ability to collaborate across multiple functions, departments and levels
  • Ability to deliver quality output under tight deadlines.

 

Preferred

  • University degree or high school diploma in the area of computer science/ networking systems or similar is an advantage
  • An earlier career in IT such as working as a Developer, Engineer or Analyst
  • Experience in IT Service Management, IT Change Management or IT Project Management
  • RPA, ITIL or any ITSM related certification(s)
  • Knowledge of strategic technology suppliers
