Barista

• Follows and ensures that the company beverage standards of service are being adhered.
• Helps to ensure that all beverage standards in the Square are followed, ensures that all requisitions are done, the Square is fully stocked with all required items.
• Responsible for guest satisfaction with the products offered.
• Communicates any problems, challenges, complaints or service difficulties, in a timely manner, to the Head-bartender on duty or immediate supervisor.
• Ensures that company policy in regards to drinking age is followed and that the service of alcoholic beverages to obviously intoxicated guests is stopped in a tactful and appropriate manner.
• Ensures to follow the Cruise Line Coffee shop manual at all times.
• Follows company guidelines regarding uniforms and personal hygiene.
• Assists in additional duties as requested by the ships management.

• In depth knowledge of beverage operations, in particular the workings of the coffee shop and service.
• At least two years of working experience as a barista in a fast paced coffee shop/ outlet catering to an international clientele.
• Working experience with an extensive beverage program that entails premiums and super premiums in all beverage categories.
• Basic knowledge of wine service procedures
• Strong command of the English language combined with good written skills.
