Job Description

The Category Senior Buyer is responsible for executing end-to-end procurement activities within assigned categories, ensuring policy compliance and cost–effective, value-driven solutions. This role involves managing strategic sourcing events, negotiating contracts, and leveraging Coupa for purchase requisitions, approvals, procurement data, and supplier management. The Category Senior Buyer acts as a key liaison between internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure operational efficiency, supply continuity, and continuous performance improvement. The primary focus of the role is Site leadership, tactical sourcing, category support and execution.

  • Manage end-to-end purchasing process using Coupa, including requisition review, PO creation, purchasing form and template management, contracting, and approvals.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, governance frameworks, and GBS standards.
  • Support request intake validation, buying channel compliance, and execution of approved sourcing and contracting decisions Monitor and resolve issues related to invoices, deliveries, and supplier performance.
  • Contribute to procurement cost improvement and savings target delivery.
  • Lead sourcing (RFx) execution and negotiations in alignment with Category Manager defined strategy and supplier selection criteria.
  • Support category managers in implementing sourcing strategies and supplier consolidation.
  • Maintain accurate supplier data in Coupa and ensure onboarding compliance.
  • Partner with internal teams to understand requirements and provide guidance on procurement best practices.
  • Act as a point of contact for queries related to Coupa processes and procurement policies.
  • Own tactical execution for assigned category (e.g., MRO, packaging, indirects).
  • Monitor supplier performance and escalate strategic issues to Category Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
  • 3–5 years experience in procurement or buying roles, preferably in manufacturing environment.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of procurement governance and compliance requirements.
  • Detail-oriented and process-driven.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with digital procurement tools and analytics.
  • In-depth knowledge of tactical sourcing and category execution.
  • Understanding category traits (market conditions, suppliers, news & trends & performance metrics, and escalation protocols).
  • Knowledge of global procurement policies and audit requirements.
  • Experience with Coupa or similar e-procurement platforms.
  • Fluent in English and strong verbal and written French skills.
