Chief accountant (Galvenais/-ā grāmatvedis/-e)

WorkingLand client is an in-house company operating in the real estate sector and is looking for a Chief Accountant / Team Lead to join its accounting team.

Responsibilities:

• Build and manage the accounting team.
• Full-cycle accounting.
• Manage accounting for group companies in Visma Horizon.
• Assign tasks within the accounting team.
• Prepare and provide information and reports to authorities, auditors, and management.
• Support colleagues in Latvia and other Baltic countries on accounting and tax topics.
• Optimize accounting processes.

• Strong Visma Horizon experience.
• Minimum 3 years as a Chief Accountant.
• Team-management skills.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Good knowledge of the Latvian tax system.
• Fluent Latvian and good English (or Russian) is required, to work on Baltic-level with colleagues in other countries.
• Experience preparing financial statements and working with audits.

Advantages:

• Experience as Head of Accounting or Head of Tax in a group companies.
• Power BI skills.
• Experience with Big 4 audits or previous Big 4 work experience.

• Salary: 2500 - 4000 EUR gross (depending on experience).
• Bonuses: Monthly/yearly performance bonuses may be introduced in the future based on results and cost-saving contributions.
• Work format: Flexible start/end hours. Office-based with possibility for hybrid work and possibility to chose one of company offices.
