Requirements
The Cluster Revenue Manager will be responsible for delivering all aspects of revenue management for two MHG hotels through proper pricing, segmentation mix and distribution management to exceed the hotels revenue goals. The Cluster Revenue Manager reports to and works directly with General Managers with an indirect line to the HQ Director of Revenue.
What is your responsibility?
- Daily management of the hotel pricing model across the various channels.
- Responsible for the day to day revenue management of both hotels including rate loading, yielding and management of relevant systems to maximize all revenue opportunities.
- Know your competitors and develop strategies to best capture available Market Share.
- Be knowledgeable of general trends for both hotels including, but not limited to, average pick up levels, average lead times, average length of stay by channel & market segment.
- Generate yearly revenue budget for both hotels.
- Weekly and monthly forecasting (by market segment by day).
- Identify and communicate demand periods (high and low) for which a strategic plan is needed and executed
- Generate and provides accurate and timely results in the form of reports, presentations, etc
- Lead weekly Revenue Strategy meetings with senior management, ensuring they are strategic with follow up actions noted and issued in a timely manner.
- Ensure that room and rate availability are 100% accurate in all channels per accordance with demand and yielding strategy for an ongoing 12-month period
- Collaborate closely with other departments to teach the benefits Revenue Management can bring to the organization.
- Provide assistance and guidance for group business to Sales team.
- Work with the Director of Sales to ensure that rates and strategy in each segment are to align with the budget expectations and analysis vs. comp set.
- Responsible for configuring and managing key systems including rates and inventory : PMS, Channel Manager , the respective distributions platforms and etc., ensuring information displayed there are accurate and kept up to date.
- Work closely with HQ Management Team
- Monthly communication with OTA Market Managers
What we are looking for?
- Minimum qualification of 2-5 years in tourism
- Practical working experience within hotel revenue management
- Knowledgeable of hotel technology: Fidelio or Protel PMS, and Travelclick/iHotelier Channel Manager, Extranets is essential
- Advanced Excel, PowerPoint & Word
- Strong analytical skills
- Good communication skills, strong in spoken and written German and English
- Excellent organization and planning skills
- Ability to analyze data and identify significant trends
- Ability to work accurately and effectively under pressure
- Good personal presentation skills
- Self-motivated, competitive with team spirit
