We are searching for an EHS Manager to drive EHS activities in Northern Europe

We are searching for an EHS Manager to drive and support our Environmental, Health and Safety activities in Northern Europe and mainly in Latvia, Finland and Estonia. In this role, you will have the possibility to work from one of our locations in Latvia, Finland or Estonia.

 

Your role

 As EHS Manager, your responsibility is to identify, lead and support Environmental, Health Safety activities across our manufacturing sites, with the first priority on our EHS activities in Latvia, Finland and Estonia. Your role will be a key resource for our Northern Europe EHS team and support other countries in EHS-related matters within the Northern European region. You will join our Northern European EHS team, working from one of our locations in either Latvia, Estonia or Finland.

 

 The EHS Manager reports directly to the Northern European EHS Manager and is responsible for driving projects to accomplish our common EHS goals within this region. Although there are no direct reports in this role, you will work closely with Factory Managers and EHS teams across Europe and the quality and sustainability organisation. You will enjoy cross-collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders, where you will drive EHS projects across multiple manufacturing sites. Travel activity is expected in this role.

 

 What your impact will be

 

  • Drive and support EHS projects in Finland, Estonia and Latvia in alignment with the manufacturing sites
  • Support the implementation of the new reporting system (Gensuite MyEHS) in all countries in Northern Europe
  • Follow up on progress on EHS performance and align according to corporate and local needs
  • In collaboration with local EHS specialists, engage in and drive EHS targets
  • Review, translate and improve training material and follow up on the progress
  • Participate in audits and assessments
  • Support the EHS Europe organisation in any EHS-related matters
  • Ensure adherence to all compliance standards and operate with integrity at all times

What you'll need to succeed

 

  • Experience working in a similar EHS role, preferably within an international manufacturing environment
  • Ability to communicate and influence at all levels of the organisation, from shop floor to Factory Managers
  • A university degree in occupational safety, health and/or environment management or the equivalent vocational qualification
  • Experience working with Environmental projects
  • Structured and analytical with exceptional attention to detail
  • Experience working with EHS reporting system
  • Possess a continuous improvement mindset and a pragmatic approach to assigned tasks
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritising accordingly and manage various stakeholder expectations
  • Possess commitment and enthusiasm to drive change and results
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English and either Latvian, Finnish or Estonian
