Electrical Engineer, Telecommunication Engineer

Ardanuy Ingeniería, S.A. is an engineering consulting company specialized in studies, projects, works management, safety engineering, operation / maintenance studies as well as technical advice for railways, urban transport, electrical engineering, roads, building and telecommunication. The company operates in an international and multicultural environment, and has implemented more than 700 projects in 60 countries.

As the company is currently expanding its business activities, we are looking for experienced professionals to join our team:

• Electrical Engineer;
• Telecommunication Engineer;

Job responsibilities:

• Assist in elaboration of utilities design “Design and design supervision services for the construction of the new line on the first section of the Rail Baltica main line from Estonia/Latvian state border to Vangaži”, which includes low and high voltage electrical lines and telecommunication line that shall be deviated, aerial or buried as per the integration of Rail Baltica corridor and construction of the associated infrastructure;
• Request all the necessary technical provisions through the Building Information System, ensure fulfillment of the design conditions and other relevant requirements according to the national legal enactments;
• Develop the design of utilities which shall be implemented in different detail stages, namely Value Engineering (underway), Master Design (upcoming) and Detailed Design, precisely following the requirements of Rail Baltica Design Guidelines, which include strict BIM requirements for design implementation;
• Support the team also in implementation of other projects developed by the Company;
• Assist the team in preparation of tender proposals and coordinate tasks locally in Riga.

Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering/ Telecommunication Engineering or equivalent;
• 3+ years’ experience of utilities engineering, in the design of construction projects and detailed technical design projects as well as supervision of construction projects;
• Valid certificate issued by the competent certifying institutions;
• Advance use of the bis.gov.lv platform;
• Knowledge of using AutoCAD suite or other similar design tools;
• Knowledge in BIM modelling (desirable);
• Experience in Project Management (budgeting, estimating / forecasting / costing and reporting, planning of resources, their allocation and management);
• Well-developed communication skills, with ability to effectively interact with both the business partners and internal technical team members;
• Native Latvian and good command of English (minimum B2 level);
• Resilient to coping with conflicting demands, able to prioritize duties and work under pressure;
• Able to benchmark and apply best practices of large infrastructure projects.

Office location:

Remote work from Riga (own premises), taking into account standard business hours (8.30 – 17.00, Riga time), being available for online meetings with the team or stakeholders, depending on business needs. Local trips related to inspection of site visits, business meetings with the relevant utilities companies or clients are also envisaged.

Salary:

1800 EUR to 2500 EUR after tax (neto) depending on the candidate experience.
