Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Finance Assistant with good accounting skills. You will a part of Medtronic's local finance team on a total of two people that are based on Medtronic's office in Helsinki and Riga. We offer a great opportunity to join a world leading Medical device company.You will report to the Finance Manager.

Main job responsibilities
You will be responsible for the ledger, creating purchase orders, manage invoice flow to Holland, A/R collection activities, deal memos and participate in various projects, such as to streamline invoice processing.

The job also includes updating prices based in SAP on contracts and procurements but also to participate in the monthly financial statements with reconciliations, accounting and analysis. The job includes contacts with Medtronic's FSSC (Financial shared service Centre) in Holland

Requirements

We are looking for a responsible profile who is a self-starter, interested in accounting tasks, flexible and service-oriented. You must be able to keep focus during busy periods and follow up on tasks through to agreed deadlines. The tasks require furthermore that you are detail-oriented and that you have good communication skills both verbal and written in English and Finnish.

• Bachelor's Degree in Economics
  
• A minimum of 1-2 years accounting experience
  
• You have flair for IT, including knowledge of MS-Excel and SAP R/3 – this is, however, not a requirement (SAP is used and a number of other reporting systems)
