Therefore we are actively looking for the first staff accountant with all-encompassing financial accounting experience. Your mission will be to provide financial, payroll and compliance expertise for the studio and comply with group reporting requirements.
Location: Budapest, Hungary
What Will Your Job Look Like:
- Ensuring local management accounts are processed accurately and timely on a monthly basis and submitted within the agreed upon group reporting deadlines.
- Processing of the local monthly payroll. This will involve data preparation, analysis, and reporting to the Global Payroll Administrator. The Financial Accountant will be responsible for the payment and submission of all local payroll taxes.
- Entering purchase details (Vendor Information, Creation, Invoicing and Pricing) into our accounting system.
- Coordinating with the Warehouse Manager (WM) on regular inventory audits and reporting on audit findings. Inventory checks must be performed both from system to inventory and vice versa.
- Reviewing internal controls of the Group and recommending any improvements. The recommendations need to be communicated with other Global Studio Accountants for feedback and alignment to ensure consistency of group policies.
- Communicating with the company's buyers and WM to ensure purchases do not exceed budget and recommending improvements to the process.
- Preparing and/or reviewing inventory & fixed asset trend reports for Management.
- Preparing monthly purchasing summary reporting on actual v budget variances.
- Assisting with the preparation of the Quarterly and Annual Budget for the Studio by providing information gathered for more accurate insights of the expected forecast.
- Working with HQ Accountants to assist with the monthly group financial close process.
- Ensuring timely reporting of all monthly financial information which will increase the efficiency of Management Accounts being published 1-2 days based on the designated timetable circulated to the Leadership Team (LT).
- Assisting with ad-hoc finance reports by maintaining a data oriented mindset to help the Company have more data points and lead to more accurate financial insights. This will help the company make more data-driven commercial decisions.
Requirements
- University degree (finance, accounting, economics preferred).
- Ideally 5+ years relevant financial accounting experience.
- Payroll experience (preferred).
- ACA, ACCA qualification (preferred).
- Excellent communications skills, resilient, critical thinker.
- Driven, can demonstrate high effectiveness when working with other departments, proactive.
- Must have attention to detail, however balance the requirements for processes to be effective and robust.
