Remote Frontend Magento Developer needed

The Role

We work primarily with the Magento platform and this role will involve several aspects of the software development lifecycle, including estimating, technical design, implementation, documentation, testing and application support for our clients. The majority of this role will be working with clients on Magento 2, however there is some opportunity to be part of migration projects and support for those still on Magento 1.

• Magento 2 Developer Certification (this may be Developer, Frontend Developer, JavaScript Professional).
• Highly competent in authoring JavaScript and using libraries such as RequireJS, KnockoutJS, Prototype and jQuery.
• Experience of extending Magento functionality through the use of UI Components.
• Ability to profile frontend performance and identify bottlenecks.
• Ability to work efficiently with the Magento 2 frontend toolset and workflow.
• A good understanding of the Magento 2 backend, including the ability to develop custom modules where required.
• Happy to embrace established internal development processes and standards.
• Ability to work harmoniously with other developers and share ideas and suggestions.
• Passion for creating clean, well-documented, efficient, and standards-compliant code.
• An excellent grasp of Git-based version control.
• Proficient in authoring high quality technical documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a client-facing environment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and communicate effectively with stakeholders to resolve production application issues under pressure.
• Strong emphasis on Quality Assurance when delivering work.

Desirable Requirements but not essential:

• Experience of building Progressive Web Applications.
• Proficiency with ReactJS and VueJS.
• Experience of writing frontend tests using tools such as Jasmine, CasperJS.
• Ability to perform team code reviews and technical oversight on the work of other developers where required.
