Group Technical Accountant

The role is for a Technical Accounting Manager for the group based in their Head office in Riga. Your main responsibilities will be:

Give advice and support to the Group Chief Accountant assisting with technical aspects of accounting / reporting for 4finance group of over 50 companies
Work closely with the Group Chief Accountant regarding the monthly group consolidation
Determine accounting requirements for new products' software development and participate in meetings regarding new product launches
Research accounting literature regarding complex IFRS and Statutory accounting issues
Prepare and monitor goodwill and intangibles' balances, analyses, and related impairment testing
Undertake portfolio valuations using net present value (NPV) and other techniques as applicable
Work independently on special projects which may include the implementation of new GAAP or IFRS rules, implementing process enhancements
key liaison to external auditors and internal management of the audit process

Ideally you will have

University degree in Accounting or Finance
Strong successful experience in Big4 audit position, Chief Accountant or other Senior Accountant position
Very strong knowledge of IFRS accounting principles
Experience of group consolidations
Knowledge on EU tax regulations will be considered as an asset;
Excellent Latvian and English
Good computer skills (MS Office), knowledge of iScala would be considered as advantage
Strong analytical and accounting skills
