Industrial Designer / Product engineer

Our office in Riga is looking for a Graduate Industrial designer / Final year student:

To support the delivery of projects from concept to detailed planning in a long-term collaboration.

To work directly with external craftsmen in the delivery of product prototypes

To work directly with external manufacturers globally in the delivery of industrial design components

Competent in 3D computer software for the creation of new product ranges both for Industrial products and architectural installations

We seek somebody with a good understanding of industrial manufacturing processes, including metal work, casting and plastics manufacturing.

A candidate with experience in prototyping designed objects would be highly beneficial.

Student (Bachelor/Master): within final year of study OR

Industrial Designer: an academic degree in Product Design, Product or Mechanical engineering, or equivalent tertiary degree

Highly capable in either: Rhinoceros, Autodesk Inventor, Solidworks or equivalent 3D packages and AutoCAD 2D, 3D

Confident in Adobe suite e.g. Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator or equivalents.

Good command of English

Highly Motivated, proactive member of a team environment who is able to self-define goals and assist others. Desirable:

Capable in Computer rendering packages such as: 3Ds Max, Blender, Cinema 4D, or plugins such as: Keyshot, Maxwell, Vray, Artlantis or other equivalents

Project management experience

Other languages: German, Russian
