Junior Finance Specialist

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Finance Specialist to join our Accounts Payable Team within our Atea Business Service Center (ABSC).If you’re passionate about numbers, enjoy working in a collaborative environment, and want to grow your career in finance, we’d love to hear from you! • Learning and developing knowledge about the finance area.
• Process and Validate Data: Handle customer ERP and related system data, including data entry, verification, and discrepancy analysis.
• Ensure Data Integrity: Monitor the availability and accuracy of all required information for successful data processing.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Coordinate with Atea Group Business Units to resolve incomplete or incorrect data issues.
• Reconcile and Resolve: Maintain data accuracy by reconciling transactions, investigating discrepancies, and adhering to established work instructions.
• Drive Improvements: Actively propose and follow up on initiatives to enhance process efficiency.
• Maintain Documentation: Regularly update and refine work instructions to reflect current practices.
• Foster Team Culture: Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
• Mentor and Guide: Support junior colleagues through mentoring and supervision.
• Support Leadership: Assist the team leader in guiding team members through complex or non-standard challenges.

• Good English skills both spoken and written.
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (can be a last year student as well).
• Preferably experience working with Accounts Payable.
• Experience with accounting software (Navision ERP experience is an advantage)
• Accuracy, precision and attention to details.
• Professionalism and responsibility.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Quick learner, interest to become a knowledgeable and experienced specialist.
• Ability to work effectively in international and virtual teams (considered an advantage).

Some additional details about the position: 

Our primary workplace is the office, where collaboration and team spirit thrive. Upon successfully completing the probation period, meeting performance standards, and based on business needs, you’ll have the opportunity to transition to a hybrid work model. This means working at least two days in the office, with the flexibility to choose your work environment for the rest of the week - whether it’s enhancing your productivity at home or finding your own perfect workspace in the office!

• Work location: Our new cozy & modern office in the heart of Riga, Antonijas iela 17 (Magdalēnas kvartāls).
• Working hours: 9:00-18:00.
• Monthly gross salary: 1200 EUR.
