Zoku, which is Japanese for family, tribe or clan, facilitates global living and working for the traveling professional. Zoku is created by a small team of highly enthusiastic and engaged individuals who bring on board bags of enthusiasm and gumption. After opening the first Zoku in Amsterdam in 2016, the team started the European expansion and has now several deals in the pipeline to open in 2021 and beyond.

The Kitchen Helper is responsible for the cleanliness of the Living Kitchen, proper handling of all dirty dishes, cleanliness of the fridge, freezer and dry storages and handles incoming deliveries. The Kitchen Helper assists the Chefs with mise en place, all while working according to the HACCP regulations. The objective of the Kitchen Helper position is to support the kitchen team and making sure that the kitchen looks spotless. The Kitchen Helper reports to the Head Chef and to the Chef on shift.

We will be opening our third location in Vienna, Austria, in, Q1 2021. Located in the central Second District of Leopoldstadt, Zoku Vienna will be close to the Vienna University of Economics and Business, the Messe Wien Conference Center, and the iconic Prater park.

• You are responsible for the dishwashing and for keeping your work area clean and organized
• You ensure proper separation of waste
• You apply HACCP regulations
• You jump in when needed to help out the Kitchen team
• You follow the deep cleaning schedule and ensure the Living Kitchen looks spotless at all times
• You are responsible for handling all food & beverages deliveries from suppliers

• Are energetic, motivated and enjoy singing occasionally while doing the dishes
• Have a background in serving and/or helping people
• Work clean and efficiently
• Enjoy continuously improving processes, applying an “Always Beta” mentality
• Are genuinely friendly, pro-active and open
• Are eager to get the best out of themselves and their peers
• Like to have fun while working, and are always up for a good joke

MUST HAVES

• You speak English and or German (other languages are a plus)
• You are an EU resident or you have a valid working and living permit for Austria
• You are fully flexible/no fixed working days/hours
• You love to work – as we need you full time

• A market conform salary, in accordance with experience and know-how (minimum of € 1.540 gross per month based on full time)
