Job Description

Mechanical Engineer (Junior/Senior) is responsible for:
  • Providing technical assistance to Sales in contacts with prospective vendors during project bid phase.
  • Specifying mechanical equipment (compressors, process separators, heat exchangers, pumps, etc.).
  • Developing key documents (equipment requisitions, specifications, datasheets, calculations, equipment list).
  • Evaluating of technical bids to select subcontractors and vendors.
  • Checking of vendor submitted documents.
  • Inter-disciplinary information exchange with regard to mechanical equipment.
  • Attending meetings with client and vendors.
  • Maintaining quality assurance and assure the use of modern engineering practices, methods, materials and equipment through a continuous program of technical contact between members of the section and technical societies, clients, manufacturers and regulatory agencies. Senior Mechanical Engineer:
  • Engineering planning during a project.
  • Providing cost and scheduling data throughout a project to the project department.
  • Preparing of input for FEED studies.
  • Feasibility studies (compressor re-wheel, new equipment of existing facilities, debottlenecking ect.).
  • Preparing of input for Basis for Design documents, reporting findings, recommendations and solutions.
  • Preparing input to bid documents (Equipment costs, engineering manhour estimates, qualifications / clarifications to bid documents).

    • Requirements

  • Master or Bachelors degree (TU or HTS).
  • Preferably 8- 10 years experience in an engineering environment (senior position).
  • More technical specialist than a generalist.
  • Familiar with International design codes.
  • Familiar with relevant engineering software programmes.
  • Communicative skills and commercial attitude.
