Norwegian or Swedish Speaking Junior Test Engineer

TietoEVRY in Latvia invites you to join our FSS Support department. Financial Services Support team in Latvia provide 1st and 2nd line support and other services to achieve best customer satisfaction across Nordics and Europe in Norwegian, Swedish and English. As a tester, you will be part of a large team within the Card Issuing business area.  We provide IT training for employees to be able to ensure IT support to our customers and develop further within IT field, previous IT skills, work experience not required. As well as working normal business hours and possibility to work from home within Latvian border!

As part of your job you will be responsible for:

• Participate in projects and releases, deliveries ordered by our customers wirhin card-based payment services
• Work closly with test managers, system developers, product managers and other functional managers
• Responsible for test design, material preparation,  execution and checking for test completion
• Analyze results and identify the root cause of malfunctions, detect issues and track root causes
• Run quality controls and document technical issues, solutions
• Ensure our products and procedures meet industry standards (e.g. ISO)
• Gain experience with the value chain within card systems, authorizations and transactions

Expected requirements:

• Good Norwegian or Swedish language, as well as  English
• Eager to learn, acquire new knowledge and develop professionally in the IT industry (IT training and knowledge is provided by the company)
• Technically minded and familiar with various testing techniques and ability to process large volumes of data
• Creative with a view of being able to create test cases that cover many different scenarios
• Advanced problem-solving skills and ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and eager to take initiative
• Experience with Jira, Octane and interest, knowledge about the card payment area at technical level is an advantage
