Job Description

We are now looking for a Cluster Human Resources Manager (for 5 hotels) to join our dynamic team here at Radisson Hotel Group! 

About the Cluster Human Resources Manager Role:

Radisson Hotel Group is obsessed with execution; we have an opportunity to make a difference for our team members and all our stakeholders. The Cluster HR Manager leads and manages the people management related agenda for their area of responsibility. The position will work closely with our hotel General Managers, Head of Departments, HR teams and other key stakeholders to build capabilities, plan and develop talent, and provide recommendations to achieve the shared goals and objectives. The Cluster HR Manager is a true generalist and is required to provide strategic and operational functional support to drive the HR agenda with main focus on the following areas (but not limited to); recruitment and retention, talent & performance management, legal and regulatory compliance, succession planning & talent pools, change management, compensation & benefits, employee engagement and people development.

The position will be based at Radisson Blu Daugava Hotel, but you will support multiple hotels in Riga.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understands key business goals, and business priorities, able to apply to core areas of HR responsibilities in order to prioritize work and set goals.
  • Ensures all elements of the employee life cycle are followed according to Company policy to ensure a motivated and engaged team member.
  • Work with the People Managers to attract talent, build capabilities, plan and develop talents to meet business objectives as well as developing retention initiatives.
  • Develop, roll out and update human resources policies and procedures as necessary, ensuring compliance with relevant statutory legislation and industry best practice.
  • Acts as a trusted advisor and business partner for General Managers and Head of Departments regarding people related matters from a strategic, legal, and operational perspective.
  • Own, manage and resolve complex issues in labour relations, maintaining minimum risk and lowest cost to the company, ensuring compliance with all applicable local laws and regulations, and keeping up to date on developments in labour law at national level.
  • Provides input into organizational design discussions, support the area Learning & Development team in implementing global and local learnings as well as driving employee engagement, development, and succession planning.
  • Supervises, guides, and ensures the development of your team; direct supervision of HR Coordinators and any other HR/Payroll resource as assigned.
  • Implement the Company’s performance management cycle and provide continuous support and advice to the People Managers.

Requirements

Required Skills and Experience: 

  • University degree in Human Resources, employee legislation or similar field is desirable. 
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably from an international environment.
  • An expert in Latvian labour law, employee relations and legislation.
  • Interpersonal skills and a proactive problem solver.
  • Experience with talent attraction and retention, business partnering and strategic advisory.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Latvian.
  • Experience in a Hospitality and/or the Tourism sector is desirable.
  • Knowledge of one or more HRIS systems, e.g. Workday, is an advantage.
  • Work permit for Latvia is required.
