Job Description

  • Responsible for negotiating the best terms of purchase for the equipment, parts, services and materials needed for the country’s Cement operation.
  • Guarantees vendors meet the negotiated (agreed) purchasing conditions and terms.
  • Cooperate with managers of production units in “SCHWENK” group.
  • Monitors the market trends in the country and proposes new vendors or negotiation practices.
  • To insure the Purchasing information input to SAP system.
  • Reduce purchasing costs.
  • Plan supplies of materials and services.
  • Prepare contracts and follow the terms of payment.

    • Requirements

  • Masters negotiation skills. Experience in procurement area /or ability to acquire and follow internal procurement procedures in short time.
  • Product, materials, supplies market trends and products knowledge.
  • Good technical knowledge and understanding of the structure and workings of production equipments will be as advantage.
  • Very good Latvian, English and Russian language skills.
  • Good skills of MS Office; preferable experience with SAP.
  • Driving license - B category.
  • Ability to work under high pressure.
