Position: Project Engineer

Intention /Goal: Secure best possible product quality and results in all projects, through dedicated management of the complete production process - from the production order to the final product delivery.

Main tasks:

• Project  Engineer on the production of Forberg machines.
• Produce technical documentation based on queries from customers.
• Prepare 3D models and 2D production drawings in Inventor and AutoCad.
• Prepare bill of material lists.
• Prepare material and components purchase documentation.
• Logistics and transport documentation.
• Participate in technical meetings.
• Communication between head office in Norway and production partner in Latvia.
• Quality control during production and active participation in FAT.
• Traveling to the customers sites, supervise and manage commissioning and SAT.
• Contribute in product development including optimising production procedures.
• Perform work proactively in accordance with Forberg/SKALA policies and procedures in order to achieve highest product quality.

Qualifications and personal qualities required:

• Bachelor/Master degree in technical sciences (preferably mechanical engineering).
• Understanding of mechanical design and fabrication processes, specially: welding and sheet metal.
• Mandatory at least 3 years of experience in relevant fields.
• Excellent communication skills with people inside and outside the organisation.
• Fluent in English - verbally & written.
• Flexibility - ability to adjust and to change.
• High sense of quality and on time performance.
• Proactive mind-set and ability to work independently.
