Project Estimator (Electrical installation)

SINTEC UK LIMITED is looking for a Project Estimator (Electrical installation) to carry out accurate estimation and preparation of competitive commercial offer

Duties:

• Prepare a full estimate of projects to be reviewed, authorized and submitted by Senior Managers.
• Interpretation of electrical design layout and tender technical documentation.
• Maintain estimation document in the English language to reflect all cost indicators (direct, indirect and hidden), with continuous updates and improvement.
• Receive Request for Quotation (RFQ) documents and organize them accordingly.
• Prepare a pre-tendering document with a decision-making criterion on Bid/No bid approach to RFQs.
• Following the decision to Bid on a project, study relative information thoroughly, and prepare a list of questions or clarifications to be directed to a customer.
• Attend technical meetings with the customer for tender and scope overview and discussions.
• Liaise closely with a Procurement Manager regarding cost and selection of equipment and materials to achieve best value at tender stage.
• Prepare accurate commercial offer for submission to a customer in line with set deadlines and requirements.
• Ability to manage multiple projects at one time.
• Ability to be able to determine the necessity of site visits to understand build ability and risk.
• Obtain feedback and learn from each project.

Key skills and qualifications:

• Previous electrical estimating experience.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Electrical Estimator, acknowledge of industrial and automation projects will be a benefit to the candidate.
• Good and workable knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication and written skills.
• Good numerical skills.
• Ability to work within deadlines and under pressure.
• High level of detail accuracy.
• Good commercial awareness.
• On site surveying capabilities.
• A relevant degree level qualification in engineering or related discipline.
• Able to read and interpret construction plans and engineering drawings.
• Experience in working with AutoCAD 2 and 3D drawings.
• Experience with working with estimating software.
• Strong organization and time management skills.
