Project Estimator (Electrical installation)

SINTEC UK LIMITED is looking for a Project Estimator (Electrical installation) to carry out accurate estimation and preparation of competitive commercial offer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive Request for Quotation (RFQ) documents and register in the system.
• Complete of pre-tender passport and agreeing final bid/submission with Senior Manager
• Review plans, specifications, and other relevant project documentation to identify the needs of projects and prepare a clear concise bid proposal. Determining the quantity, type and cost of materials, labour and equipment needed for each project/bid.
• Communicate with company management and customers to define the project scope, and address deficiencies, including the preparation and submission of RFIs.
• Gather and request information from Procurement Manager regarding costs and selection of subcontractors, equipment, and materials to achieve budget and bid requirements.
• Producing and delivering accurate estimates, within the specified scope and defined time periods. Ensuring that quotations are correctly qualified and completed timeously to meet deadlines for tender requirements or client needs.
• Responsible for maintaining and updating the estimation database, ensuring information is accurate and up to date.
• Attending necessary pre-site surveys and project pre-start meetings with relevant team members to define scope of works and requirements.
• Producing Monthly management reports including statistical analysis of bids/estimates.

Requirements:

• A relevant degree level qualification in electrical engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum of 2-year experience as an Electrical Estimator within the construction industry.
• Technical competence and knowledge of industrial automation and construction industry equipment, standards, requirements, and installation practices.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and engineering technical drawings.
• Experience in working with CAD software and 3D engineering drawings.
• Exquisite math and IT ability with an analytical mindset
• Excellent English communication and written skills.
• High level attention to details.
• The ability to work under pressure to meet set goals, budgets, and deadlines.
• Good commercial awareness to assess financial, technical, and operational risks of the project.
