
QA Engineer

Job Description
Responsibilities:
Responsible for monitoring and analysis of product defect rates (in production and from customer claims), and identify improvement projects to improve the product quality.
Responsible for the process of handling NCR (Non-Conformity Report) to suppliers.
Working as part of the Operations QA-team.
Work task:
Monitor and analyze product defect rates
Manage projects for improving product quality
Proactive improve product quality (for new product development)
Improve processes within Operations to improve product quality
Handling NCR’s
Other informations:
Some QA/QC knowledge is required, but the most important element is the persons attitude, ability to adapt and fit into company’s culture, and ability to gain the right skill required for the work responsibilities. And in the end be a key contributer in order for the company being the market leader in Video conferencing. A challenge is to develop and improve the QA processes, concepts and tools to support the growth in number of products, production volume, and improve the Manufacturing partners to be World-class production companies.

Requirements
- Skills within concepts, methods and tools for securing and improving production quality (e.g. Lean/Six Sigma)
- Structural and analytical predilection
- Process oriented
- Self-driven and target oriented
- Ability to achieve results through others
- Handling NCR’s
- Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
- Preferable: SQL/Database knowledge, Remedy (RMA-tool), ERP/PLM-tool
- Fluently English written and communication skills
Education and experience:
- M.Sc/B.Sc Industrial Engineering, Quality Assurance or equivalents
- A few years experience as Quality Engineer in or towards production of El./Mech. products is preferred but not required, newly graduated engineers could also be of interest
- Six Sigma / Lean Manufacturing
- Quality Systems
- Process mapping
- KPI’s
- Production failure analysis
- Contracting (Quality requirements to suppliers)

Good atmosphere and working spirit within the QA-group and other groups of Upstream and Operations. Number of people in Upstream (Industralisation, Purchasing, Manufacturing, QA) 16, majority with Master degree’s. 4 in the QA-group, all with a Master degree.
