Senior Buyer - Indirect

As Senior Buyer your role will be focused on the commercial aspects of non-BOM, Facility services and CapEx procurement. Leading on negotiations, running multiple projects, supplier management and engaging with key stakeholders and helping deliver the overall business and procurement strategy.Your main target will be to ensure that our indirect materials & services sourcing match overall financial targets, compliance, quality, service levels, capacities, contractual and legal requirements.In general, you are a strong buyer and communicator and an experienced negotiator with a commercial and pragmatic mindset that demonstrates good stakeholder management and broad collaboration, both externally and internally. You have a global mindset that think end-to-end in decision-making and demonstrates a Continuous Improvement mindset and business acumen.

Your main responsibilities will be to:

• Ensure continuous supply of required goods and materials and communicate any supply problems which may pose a risk or impact on business operations.
• Research and evaluate areas of opportunity and reduce costs where possible.
• Develop ideas and strategies to improve operational efficiency, add value, aid business performance and work towards a strategy of continuous improvement.
• Be a procurement expert and lead on negotiations, contracting and commercial aspects of the category.
• Assess and evaluate suppliers and undertake performance reviews to ensure contract compliance and manage performance improvement activities.
• Ensure that a professional and consistent approach is taken in relation to all supplier relationships.
• Ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures during supplier negotiations and contracts award process.

• Good level of written and spoken English & Latvian, other languages could be an advantage.
• Experienced in strategic sourcing and project management.
• Strong negotiation skills and knowledge in contracting.
• Strong communication skills and ability to take data-based decisions and ownership.
• Team spirit and drive for continuous improvement is an integral part and is highly appreciated in our Procurement team.

As KVIST is an international company, you must expect some travel activities about 10-20 days a year.
