Job Description

Senior Carer
Personal care for clients, washing, dressing, bathing,assisting with leisure activities, assisting with administration of medication. Must have previous experience of working with elderly clients, and of alzheimers/dementia, and must be able to deal sensitively and professionally with these conditions. Will be responsible for leading a shift and supervising junior members of staff

Care Assistant
Personal care for clients, washing, dressing, bathing,assisting with leisure activities. Previous experience of working with elderly clients preferable however not essential. Must have good command of English Language. Must be able to deal sensitively and professionally with elderly and vulnerable adults.

For both roles candidates must have a professional working attitude, a pleasant manner, be willing to work as part of a team, be computer literate, and able to use your own initiative. A good English language level is required.

Requirements

Experience Required

Candidates must have a minimum of 1 years verifiable experience for junior positions. Detailed references will be required in order to verify this experience.
We will interview all candidates to assess their abilities and language skills.

Accommodation

The Care Homes will source and provide accommodation for candidates, the cost for this will vary from free of charge to £75 per week.
The cost of the accommodation and whether it is inclusive of bills will be detailed on each individual job specification


Uniform

This will need to be provided by the candidate unless they are advised otherwise.

Pay scale

Care Assistant from £5.80 per hour

Senior Care Asst from £6.00 per hour

Rate of pay vary from region and depend on whether the employer is private or part of a group. Again rates will be detailed on each individual specification.
Candidates can expect to earn extra for night and weekend shift work , although this is not always the case.
