Senior Software Developer – Game Development (m/f)

Job Description

  • You will have sole responsibility for the realization of new game features plus optimizing and refining existing games
  • Develop and implement database designs
  • Optimize performance
  • Ensure a high quality of code through reviews and unit tests/TDD
  • Analyze and resolve errors
  • Customize and upgrade our existing architecture
  • Develop and realize database designs
  • Optimize and automate existing processes
  • Creatively co-shape our games by contributing your own ideas in the development process


Requirements

  • You have completed your training as an IT specialist, a university degree in computer science or an equivalent qualification
  • Several years of experience in object-oriented programming like Java/PHP and at least one other script or programming language (e.g. Scala, C#, Bash)
  • Expert knowledge of OOP
  • You develop in a test-driven manner and use the advantages of a Continuous Integration Server, like Jenkins
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Solid experience in refactoring existing structures
  • Good knowledge of databases (MySQL or PostgreSQL)
  • Competent understanding about handling OOP/Design Patterns
  • Interested in the latest web technologies
  • Very good English language skills
  • Solution-oriented, efficient and able to work under pressure
  • Proactive and motivated individual with a willingness to learn
  • Good communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team
  • Idealy , you have already worked with a SCRUM-team, and you know your way around the command line of UNIX operating systems
