Senior Technical Consultant with in-depth knowledge in Oracle

Job description:

• Proactively monitors the database for performance and availability, supports DB environments.
• Configures and supports Oracle WebLogic Server.
• AWR Database performance optimization using Diagnostics and Tuning option (AWR analysis).
• Automates routine database activities with shell scripts, crontab, etc.
• Develops, tests, and implements backup and recovery strategies for databases.
• Keeps abreast with the latest trends in Database technology, new versions, and new features and proactively proposes the implementation of new features that will bring performance improvements or productivity gains.

What is required for the position: 

• 2+ years experience with software support/development.
• Good/Practical knowledge in Oracle Database administration.
• Experience with high performing systems.
• To be abreast with the latest trends in Database technology, new versions, and new features, and proactively propose implementation of new features that will bring performance improvements or productivity gains.
• Fluent spoken & written English.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving attitude.

Preferred qualifications:

• Understanding of payment card business.
• Experience in Oracle WebLogic Server configuration and support.
• Ability to proactively monitor the database for performance and availability, and to support DB environments.
• Ability to develop, test, and implement backup and recovery strategies for databases.
• Previous experience in AWR Database performance optimization using Diagnostics and Tuning option (AWR analysis).
• Experience in routine database activities automatization with shell scripts, crontab, etc.
