DNS Tvind (The Necessary teacher Training College) in co-operation with One World University offers a 3-years teacher education leading to a BA licentiate in Pedagogy.
We offer unique opportunities to face some of the necessities of our times, with action and solidarity with The Poor of our world. Our program contains the training of essential life skills and for living a meaningful life in the 21st century. Taking part in the program includes a vast array of goals, ambitions and action.... it is about ensuring the experiences you gain have a long lasting impact on the people whose lives you touch. It is about creating peace and development between people by being honest, open and incurraptable. It is about deciding to learn new things, being constantly curious and interested in knowing the latest on current events, world politics and scientific progress. It is essiantially about working on common ground together, helping to secure the ability of others to be productive in society. Coming together with many like-minded people can make the above a reality.

To join DNS - The Necessary Teacher Training College, you need
- 12 years of school - or equivalent
- EU passport
- Good English
- To be flexible, hard working and have a desire to change yourself and your world from a platform of common life with other like minded people

The school’s own production
Production is a core activity of humankind. Throughout our
lives, we spend most of our time producing something in order to
earn a living. Production is the basis for a society to survive, and
if it is to thrive and develop, that society must produce a surplus.
At the foundation of any productive unit lies its production.
What kind of product shall it produce? Who will pay for it? What
is its purpose?
Following that, how shall the productive unit actually earn the money it needs to cover its
expenses? And what will it take to earn a surplus, which not only allows for feeding, clothing
and housing those who produce, but also allows for expansion and development?
At DNS, the course programs constitute the main production, but within the frame
of these programs, we are continuously producing a range of different and very interesting
products.
Here are some examples:
* Making reports, presentations, radio broadcasts, documentaries, and other products for the Public Arena
* Teaching people
* Giving youngsters new life skills
* Working with boarding students in formation and educational programs
* Improving buildings
* Growing fruits and vegetables
* Cooking delicious and healthy meals
* Working together with people in working places in Europe
* Building muscles, stamina and new brain connections
* Improving health
* Gaining knowledge and insight
* Acquiring wisdom
* Getting new ideas
* Building comradeship
* Earning money through fundraising and creating values through practical work

As a student at the DNS college, you will – together with the teachers – be involved in carrying out
all these productions.

DNS offers a 3-year Teacher Training Program and in cooperation with One World University we offer a BA in Pedagogy. Licentiate in Ped.
DNS offers an education where you are self financed through work and saving up periods interrupted by study trip through West Africa by own buses, Study periods at the college, A "Do-What-You-Find-Appropriate-To-Do" period plus periods in Europe working in factories and schools.
There is a saving up period prior to the start of the eduaction.
You have food, accommodation, pocket money and school fees paid from your own work and saving up jobs throughout the education.
Program:
1. Year – The International Practice Field includes 2 months in Denmark preparing for a 4-month bus travel; 4 months bus travel through the Sahara desert and 3 months of elaboration and spreading the word to people in Europe

2. Year – The National Practice Field includes 6 months training in experiencing and understanding the national reality by seeking employment in factories and other workplaces. Living, studying, working and organizing cultural events in a bigger European city; 3 months studying at the school and 3 months doing what you find most appropriate to do


3. Year – The School Practice Field includes 8 months training, working and understanding the reality of children and teachers by seeking employment in a European school; 4 months at the college studying and final exams.

Starting date: 1st September each year.
