Technical Engineer

Wärtsilä BLRT Estonia OU Lietuvos Filialas opens a vacancy for a Technical Engineer located in Klaipeda, Lithuania.

The purpose of the Job:

• Providing technical, and technological preparation for Field Service and Workshop activities and technical execution of orders related to marine engines.
• Assisting and solving technical, operating problems of the customer.
• Reporting and proposing product improvement needs to reach the quality and cost targets to ensure customer satisfaction.

Accountabilities: A professional level of project administration, reporting, cost calculation, and follow-up.

Main Responsibilities:

• Prepare analysis with conclusions and recommendations (reports) on how to solve the technical problems of the customer. Report the related work progress to relevant stakeholders.
• Visit sites together with experienced experts when product, system, and/or performance analysis is needed.
• Analyse field experience and customer feedback data to propose products and solutions improvements.
• Cooperate with internal stakeholders.
• Acquire know-how within own technical expert area.
• Ensure a professional level of project administration.
• Schedule activities and participate in technical discussions with the customer.
• Give technical advice for own team and customers.
• Perform device and product inspections.
• Review jobs daily and ensure job specifications and technical documentation are met, details are given to the service coordinator for distribution to the workers.
• Ensure that all documents, designs, drawings, etc for workers of the department satisfy the requirements.
• Support traveling for Field Service workers: a collection of information, tools, spares, etc.
• Provide clear information for suppliers about ordered parts, materials, and details which satisfy the requirements.
• Perform supplier's product and hand-over inspections.

• Previous work experience in a related area.
• Product knowledge (Wärtsilä and other brands).
• Installation operation, maintenance, and repair.
• Technical communication & problem-solving skills.
• Technical communication.
• Deliver Solutions to Customers - processes & tools.
• Service Reporting.
• Orientated to teamwork.
• English and Russian language skills.
• Secondary mechanical/technical education, preferably marine education.
• Willingness to travel.
