Job Description

AD VERBUM is looking for a full-time, in-house Localisation Engineer to manage the technical aspect of Localisation cycle. You will assist our Project Management team in handling projects, from simple one-language to highly complex multi-language work assignments.

The main duties and responsibilities are the following:
• File preparation for translation (working with PDFs, various word processor files, various DTP platforms, XLIFF and other file formats)
• Creation of XLIFF files from different sources (for example, Customer CMSs)
• Creation and maintenance of Customer-specific and Subject-specific Translation Memories (TMs)
• Creation and maintenance of Customer-specific and Subject-specific Terminology Data bases (TDBs)
• Instruction of External resources in CAT tool use

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree (or a last-year student) in any subject
• Experience in programming or IT related work
• Experience with localisation tools, like SDL Trados, MemoQ, Star Transit (preferable)
• Excellent command of English language
• Strong problem-solving and research skills
• Ability to focus on details

Localisation engineer is required to be resourceful, capable of multitasking and prioritising, understanding the needs of AD VERBUM’s existing and potential customers, and meeting deadlines, to be a team-player, and maintain diplomacy at all times.
