Youth Councelor

The applicant needs to be a friendly, upbeat person with a positive attitude whom is responsible for providing a safe and fun-filled atmosphere for children from 2-15 years of age. The applicant must be fluent in English and follow proper grooming and hygienic practices. The applicant needs have some type of Child Development Training or similar courses or as a Child Care Professional previously.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain high level of patience, energy and enthusiasm.
Ensure friendly, jovial and positive attitude with children and parents at all times.
Abide by rules and regulations set forth by company and/or ship’s command.
Provide safe, fun-filled and age-appropriate activties for each age group.
Implement activities as scheduled by Youth Director.
Ensure good time-keeping, hygiene and appearance at all times.
Keep playroom clean, neat and organized at all times.
Provide baby-sitting services for guests.
All other duties deemed necessary by the Youth Director, Hotel Manager or Camp Carnival Shoreside Management.

Must be able to speak proficient English (Meaning you can speak, read and write fluently)
Be able to obtain a valid passport and United States C1/D Visas
Submit criminal background check
Must be 20 years of age or older
Must be First Aid & CPR certified
Must have hospitality skills & be focused on guest services
Must be willing to work with children from ages 2 to 14 years old and children with special needs as well as Under 2 children
Must be able and willing to change children’s diapers
Must be outgoing and able to lead large groups of children
