Lead of Prototyping

Lead the prototyping department and oversee daily operations.

• Manage, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team of technicians, including CNC machining, composites, and mechanical assembly.
• Improve and optimize production and prototyping technologies and processes
• Ensure sustainable operation of the department, including maintenance of machinery and equipment, management of spare parts, materials, and consumables.
• Participate in product development with a focus on manufacturability and usability.
• Develop and expand prototyping capabilities and workflows.
• Manage departmental assets, including R&D aircraft and equipment.
• Support and perform testing, validation, and investigative activities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Systems, Electrical, or related field).
• Experience in aerospace, defense, or UAS industries is preferred.
• Strong technical understanding of manufacturing and prototyping processes.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Good spoken and written English skills.

• Experience leading teams or departments is an advantage.
• Experience with CNC machining, assembly, and composite manufacturing is a plus.
