AML Team Lead

We’re looking for a skilled Team Lead to lead the Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) team within our AML function.

What you’ll do:

In this role, you’ll lead a team of six experienced professionals handling higher risk and complex cases, helping ensure our AML/CTF framework meets both today’s regulatory expectations and the standards required of a future bank.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys combining expert judgment, people leadership, and regulatory compliance - and who wants to help scale AML practices in a fast growing fintech.

You will:

• Lead the EDD process for Mintos clients, ensuring full compliance with applicable AML/CTF regulations.
• Continuously improve the efficiency, risk management, and customer experience of EDD process by leveraging technology, automation, and AI-driven tools.
• Foster a strong culture of ownership, accountability, and integrity within the team.
• Contribute to the evolution of AML/CTF processes and controls beyond EDD.
• Provide advice and guidance on AML/CTF laws and regulatory requirements to internal stakeholders.

• 4–5 years of experience in AML/CTF within the financial or fintech sector, including team leadership experience.
• Deep knowledge of AML/CTF and Sanctions frameworks, particularly in customer due diligence and EDD.
• Proven ability to design and improve AML processes through technology, automation, and AI-driven solutions.
• Hands-on mentality and willingness to actively drive initiatives that improve effectiveness and efficiency of processes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex topics in an easy way.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
