Assembler in Norway – also suitable for career starters

The work takes place in a manufacturing plant that produces power and infrastructure modules used in data centers for international clients. The workplace is located in the Drammen region, approximately 40 kilometers from Oslo. The employer is Barona AS in Norway.

Working hours

The work is performed in two shifts:

• Morning shift: Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM – 2:15 PM.
• Evening shift: Monday to Thursday, 2:30 PM – 11:45 PM (Friday off).

Key responsibilities

Tasks vary across different stages of production and may include, for example:

• Assembly and installation work.
• Mechanical and technical manufacturing.
• Component installation.
• Quality control.

What does Barona expect from you?

• Previous work experience may be acquired, for example, through internships, summer jobs, or tasks completed after graduation.
• Practical experience using tools (e.g., power and hand tools).
• English language skills for professional communication.
• Good physical fitness.
• Proactive and responsible attitude towards work.
• Readiness to commit to the project for at least 4-6 months.
• Specialized education in fields such as electrical, HVAC, automation, construction, automotive, process, or industrial sectors is an advantage.

Accommodation and practical arrangements

Barona arranges accommodation for employees near the workplace.

• Private room in a shared apartment.
• Accommodation cost approximately € 370 – € 410/month/person.
• Transportation between the residence and the workplace.
• Catering at the workplace approximately € 5.5 per meal.

Before starting work:

• The employment contract is signed before departing for Norway.
• A Barona representative will welcome you in Drammen.
• You will receive work clothes and safety shoes.
• We will review practical matters at the Barona Drammen office.
• If necessary, we will organize a visit to the Norwegian Tax Administration to obtain a D-number.
• We will guide you to your accommodation and assist you with starting work.

The employee's own responsibility includes:

• Traveling to Norway at the start of employment.
• Examples of travel costs: Riga–Oslo by plane approx. € 40 - € 140 / one way; Oslo Airport–Drammen by train approx. € 18 - 29 / one way.
