Coordinator

Role purpose: to lead the launch, operations and development of the Riga clinic — ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, outstanding patient experience and sustainable financial performance.

We are looking for a person who will be responsible for opening the Riga clinic and running its operations — and later, as the business grows, for expanding the network in Latvia. You will report directly to the Group COO, and your employer will be the group's Latvian company, working in close cooperation with the group team in Vilnius. This is not a typical management position with a ready-made team and established routines: in the beginning you will do a lot yourself, which is exactly why this is a rare opportunity to build a clinic from scratch and grow together with it.

This role offers meaningful autonomy in local decision-making, combined with strong strategic guidance and support from the group.

During the launch phase (first ~6–9 months) you will:

• help set up the clinic — coordinate premises renovation and fit-out works with contractors and suppliers;
• drive licensing and registration processes (Veselības inspekcija and other authorities) together with the group team;
• help find and recruit the clinic team (administrators, optometrists, nurses);
• set up day-to-day processes: patient booking, customer service, internal routines.

After opening you will:

• organise and manage the clinic's daily operations and team;
• take ownership of patient flow, service quality and operational performance;
• coordinate regularly with the Group COO (based in Vilnius) on planning, reporting and budget;
• manage group material and supply orders processed through our Latvian entity — purchasing, delivery coordination and related administration;
• act as the primary local representative with authorities, medical professionals, partners and suppliers;
• solve practical matters of all kinds — from staff schedules to supplier contracts.

• at least 3 years of experience in administrative or operational management in a service business; experience in a clinic, beauty/medical services or hospitality would be a strong benefit;
• a genuine hands-on attitude: someone who finds solutions rather than waits for instructions;
• ability to work independently, as group management is based in Vilnius;
• fluent Latvian and good English (English is the daily working language with group management);
• experience in licensing or opening new locations is a strong advantage.

LIREMA is a Scandinavian eye clinic group and network with 10 clinics in Sweden, Denmark and Norway, also operating in Lithuania and Spain; the group employs around 250 people. The clinics specialise in laser vision correction, RLE (refractive lens exchange) and cataract surgery, working with the latest-generation equipment. The group is now expanding into the Latvian market — opening a clinic in Riga and building the local team that will help make it happen.
