DevOps Engineer

Atea Global Services, SIA
3800 - 5200 €/m Gross
Occasional remote work possibility

Job Description

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our Development & Engineering Studio. You'll own the platform our .NET and Angular/React development teams build and ship on — from provisioning infrastructure and building CI/CD pipelines to keeping systems observable and the development tooling running smoothly. You'll work closely with developers, and having genuine development experience means you can read and reason about the code running through your pipelines, not just the infrastructure around it.

  • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for .NET and Angular/React applications, from build through automated testing to deployment.
  • Provision, configure, and maintain infrastructure in Azure, including Kubernetes clusters and App Services.
  • Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for Azure environments, using tools such as Terraform or Bicep.
  • Set up and maintain observability across our systems — logging, metrics, and tracing.
  • Build dashboards and alerts that give teams early, actionable signal on performance, reliability, and incidents.
  • Manage and optimize containerized workloads on Kubernetes (AKS).
  • Keep the tooling development teams rely on day to day — source control, work tracking, build and release systems — running well and evolving with the team's needs.
  • Read and debug application code when needed to trace build, deployment, or performance issues back to their source, and collaborate with developers on fixes.
  • Implement security best practices across pipelines and infrastructure, including secrets management and access controls.
  • Automate manual and repetitive operational tasks using scripting (PowerShell or Bash).
  • Identify bottlenecks and risks in the delivery process and drive practical improvements.
  • Work closely with development teams to raise the overall standard of DevOps practice across the studio.

Requirements

  • Solid experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates).
  • Practical experience with observability and monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, OpenTelemetry, or similar — e.g. Grafana/Prometheus).
  • Experience with containerization and Kubernetes (AKS) in production environments.
  • Enough coding background (.NET and/or Angular/React) to read and debug application code when a pipeline, build, or performance issue traces back to it — you're not expected to build features, but you should be comfortable navigating the codebase and understanding what's going wrong.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills (PowerShell or Bash).
  • Understanding of cloud security fundamentals: identity and access management, secrets management, network security.
  • A pragmatic, automation-first mindset — you look to eliminate manual steps and toil wherever it makes sense.
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working closely with developers, architects, and other stakeholders.

Nice to have

  • Experience with GitOps workflows (e.g. Argo CD, Flux).
  • Experience working in a regulated environment with formal change control and audit requirements.

Company offers

  • An international, culture-driven and welcoming environment.
  • A hybrid working model — after your probation period and depending on job specifics, flexibility based on business needs.
  • Training and growth opportunities, including company-sponsored certifications and learning tailored to your career goals.
  • Company events and an active social life.
  • Covered telephone expenses (after probation).
  • A modern, cozy office in the heart of Riga at Antonijas iela 17 (Magdalena's Quarter), with free parking.
  • Gym membership with a symbolic co-payment.
  • Company-covered health insurance starting from your first day.
