Electricians to Norway

Barona AS are looking for qualified electricians for a range of electrical installation assignments in Norway. The positions are suitable both for electricians who already hold valid DSB approval and for electricians with a relevant electrical qualification who do not yet have DSB approval. Work locations may include Drammen, Sande and Kongsberg. The employer is Barona AS.

Your responsibilities

Depending on the project and work location, your duties may include:

• Electrical installation work in construction, industrial and project environments.
• Installation of electrical equipment, components, distribution boards and control systems.
• Cable routing, cable tray installation, cabling, wiring and electrical connections.
• Installation of lighting and other electrical systems.
• Assembly and preparation of electrical equipment and system components.
• Working according to technical drawings, wiring diagrams and installation instructions.
• Inspection of completed installations, quality assurance and troubleshooting when required.
• Compliance with electrical safety, occupational safety and quality requirements.

The exact duties, division of responsibilities and any project-specific approval requirements will be confirmed before the work begins.

• A vocational qualification in electrical engineering or another relevant electrical qualification.
• Previous experience in electrical installation, electrical assembly or electrical work in construction or industry.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, wiring diagrams and work instructions.
• Good knowledge of electrical and occupational safety.
• A careful, independent and responsible approach to work.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Sufficient English skills to understand work instructions and communicate at the workplace.

DSB approval is not required when applying. Applicants who already hold valid DSB approval are eligible for the corresponding DSB pay level.

Pay

The hourly rate is determined by DSB (https://www.dsb.no/en/Electrical-safety/kvalifikasjoner-foretak-og-virksomhet/Apply-for-approval-as-electrical-professionals-in-Norway/) status, work experience and qualifications relevant to the position:

Qualification level/ Hourly pay

Electrical qualification, without DSB approval 267–310 NOK/hour

Valid DSB approval 312–346.10 NOK/hour

Any applicable shift allowances are paid in addition to the basic hourly rate and possible overtime. The final pay level is confirmed based on experience, certificates, approvals and the requirements of the assignment.
