Financial Controller

We are looking for a Financial Controller to be responsible for financial planning, reporting, and analysis to support business decision-making. Collaborating across departments to provide accurate and timely insights, ensuring that the financial data is reliable and actionable.

  • Prepare regular weekly and monthly reports.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Track key financial and operational metrics, identifying trends and recommending improvements.
  • Perform financial analysis to support decision-making, including data-driven insights for special projects, business cases, and operational decisions.
  • Define requirements for Power BI dashboards in collaboration with business stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and relevance of reported data.
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis and insights for other teams and management.
  • Assist in process improvement and automation initiatives within financial reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related field.
  • Professional certifications: CFA, ACCA are a plus.
  • Experience in financial analysis, reporting, or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, KPIs, and business performance metrics.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data modeling).
  • Experience defining Power BI dashboard/report requirements, will be considered as advantage.
  • Experience with financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to translate business needs into clear, actionable reporting requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with both finance and technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Good Latvian and English language skills in written and spoken.

Nice to have

  • Hands-on Power BI development experience is a plus.
