Purpose of the Role

The Head of Technology & AI is a senior leadership position responsible for defining and executing (hands-on) the technology strategy across all SERPA Media Group verticals — primarily iGaming affiliate properties and digital media operations.

The core mission of this role is threefold. First, to deeply understand our business, the current team, and what each person does — building a genuine grasp of how the company operates day to day, even before proposing any specific AI or automation solution. Second, and more importantly, to demonstrate a strong ability to independently research, discover, and critically evaluate technology solutions — not just implement what's handed to them, but actively seek out what's possible and assess whether it truly fits our needs. Third, and most critically, to bring a mindset of continuous improvement: constantly monitoring how we work, staying aware of emerging tools and capabilities, and recognizing when something new means we should re-evaluate and reshape our processes — all while ensuring that people are focused on the work that only humans can do and that has the most meaningful impact on our results.

Separately, this role carries responsibility for information security — a specific but essential competency. Here the expectation is less about constant learning and more about whether the person already has a clear, practical understanding of how to protect the company against key risks today.

This role drives the adoption of AI-powered automation, oversees infrastructure and security, and ensures that technology serves as a competitive advantage across the group.

Key Responsibilities

Technology Strategy & Leadership

  • Define and own the multi-year technology roadmap aligned with business objectives across iGaming and digital media verticals.
  • Evaluate, select, and implement core platforms, tools, and infrastructure (cloud hosting, CMS, analytics, CI/CD, security).
  • Act as the primary technology advisor to the CEO and leadership team on build-vs-buy decisions, vendor selection, and architecture.

AI & Automation

  • Design, deploy, and manage AI agent systems for content generation, SEO automation, data enrichment, and operational workflows.
  • Oversee the development and orchestration of multi-agent architectures (e.g., n8n workflows, custom AI agents, LLM integrations).
  • Stay current with frontier AI models and tooling; evaluate and integrate new capabilities (LLMs, vision models, voice, code generation).
  • Build internal AI tools and dashboards for real-time monitoring, reporting, and decision support.

Security & Risk Management

  • Define and enforce the company-wide information security policy, covering infrastructure, applications, data handling, and employee access.
  • Implement and maintain access control frameworks — role-based permissions, multi-factor authentication, API key management, and secrets rotation.
  • Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing across all web properties and internal systems.
  • Establish incident response procedures: detection, containment, communication, and post-mortem review.
