Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Cyber Security team in Latvia as a Junior Penetration Tester.

  • Assist the cybersecurity team with daily security tasks, including updating vulnerability databases, performing initial penetration testing, analyzing testing evidence, and preparing reports;
  • Support penetration testing IT infrastructure, including maintenance, configuration, automation implementation, and management of Windows and Linux servers and endpoints;
  • Maintain and configure networking devices, including routers, switches, and Hyper-V managed virtual networks;
  • Learn and apply cybersecurity best practices while working with real systems and scenarios, such as penetration testing and Red Team engagements;
  • Participate in hands-on learning activities, labs, or CTF-style challenges to develop practical skills.

Requirements

  • At least 2nd year student in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Systems, or a related field;
  • Basic understanding of network infrastructure, including TCP/IP, DNS, and VPN technologies;
  • Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows and Linux;
  • Fundamental knowledge of information security principles and ethics, including the CIA triad (Confidentiality, Integrity, Availability);
  • Passion about the cybersecurity and readiness to learn new things;
  • Good Latvian and English skills, both written and spoken.
  • Good understanding of firewall and antivirus solutions;
  • Knowledge of operating system security configuration;
  • Basic experience in installing and configuring workstations and servers;
  • Experience utilizing tools such as Nmap, BurpSuite, Nessus, and Metasploit for vulnerability assessment and penetration testing.

Nice to have

  • Experience with CTF platforms such as TryHackMe or Hack The Box will be considered an advantage
