For the expansion of our team we are looking for creative and curious individuals who apire to get each day a little bit better at what they do.

As the Junior Chef you will support our Head Chef in the creation of our two new outlets: the dinner restaurant and our new bread baking concept. The Junior Chef’s produce knowledge will be an important contribution to our already established “slow food” philosophy. Hence, the Junior Chef needs to be dedicated to food quality and sets high standards for his/her output. This position is for someone who is excited to be involved in a young team and who can show his/her enthusiasm for a new venture with the curiosity to learn.

This is a seasonal position and the contract duration is from beginning of December 2020 until end of April 2021.

Requirements

What you do:

  • Preparing by assembling, combining, and cooking ingredients; and maintaining a sanitary kitchen
  • Collaborates with the Head Chef in bread making process and in the running of the bread making outlet
  • Completes cleaning according to daily and weekly schedules and dishwashing/pot washing as needed.
  • Prepares ingredients by following recipes; slicing, cutting, chopping, mincing, stirring, whipping, and mixing ingredients; adding seasonings; verifying taste
  • Meets high standards in food handling and preparation
  • Participates in and/or contributes to programs, committees, or projects designed to improve guest experience
  • Adheres to proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures; maintains Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) logs, and maintains appropriate dating, labeling, and rotation of all food items

Your profile

Who you are:

  • Speaks English, German is a plus

  • Interested to learn and explore

  • 1-2 years experience as cook or similar

  • Able to work early mornings, evenings, and on weekends (shifts vary)
