Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Lead DevOps Engineer to drive the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of a cloud-native delivery platform for AWS-based solutions. The role covers full-cycle infrastructure management, including provisioning, configuration, automation, observability, and security across multiple development and production environments.

This position offers hybrid setup with the flexibility to work from any location in Latvia, whether it's your home or our office in Riga.

Maintain and evolve AWS-based infrastructure aligned with the Well-Architected Framework
Develop and optimize Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform/Terragrunt
Manage the CI/CD ecosystem and ensure reliable software delivery processes
Implement and improve monitoring, observability, and alerting mechanisms
Enhance cost efficiency and apply FinOps best practices
Support scalability, availability, and performance of core services through continuous improvements
Support backend microservices written in Java/Kotlin and deployed in EKS

Requirements

5+ years of experience in a DevOps or related engineering role
At least 1 year of relevant leadership experience
Expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Proficiency in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code
Background in CI/CD tooling, including GitLab and Jenkins
Skills in artifact and code quality management using JFrog Artifactory and SonarQube
Excellent command of written and spoken English (B2+ level)

Nice to have

Familiarity with Kubernetes and Helm
Knowledge of Argo CD for GitOps-based deployments
Understanding of Terragrunt for managing Terraform configurations
