Lead GCP Engineer with AI

We are seeking a Lead GCP Engineer with AI expertise to build and mature a centralized Cloud Product Engineering capability focused on standardizing and simplifying the consumption of GCP native services. This role will drive the development of reusable Terraform modules, enhance platform offerings, and establish consistent patterns for internal engineering teams, with a strong focus on implementing and managing cloud infrastructure for a data mesh architecture project centered on the AI stack in GCP.

• Request services and permissions from the Central Cloud Engineering team through the established process in JIRA
• Design, configure, and maintain the GCP environment for the data mesh architecture project
• Collaborate with various teams to define cloud infrastructure requirements and ensure the scalability, security, and reliability of the GCP platform
• Build CI/CD pipelines and automation with cloud-specific deployment models using GitHub Actions
• Create and maintain documentation related to the GCP infrastructure and deployments
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues or performance bottlenecks related to the GCP platform
• Adhere to standards, best practices, and guides established by the organization

• 5+ years of experience with Google Cloud Platform, including compute, storage, networking, and security services
• Proven experience designing and implementing cloud infrastructure using GCP, Terraform, and Shell scripting
• Proficiency in DevOps practices and tools, including GitHub Actions for continuous integration and deployment
• Working knowledge of GKE, Anthos Service Mesh / Istio, and Helm charts
• Familiarity with networking concepts, including firewall rules, and GCP Monitoring and Logging
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a timely manner
• English level B2+ to effectively communicate and collaborate with global teams
