Manny / Tutor / Mentor for a 10 year-old boy

Our client is seeking an experienced Manny / Male Tutor to support the development and daily structure of a 10-year-old boy within an international private household.
The family is English and Russian-speaking and leads a dynamic lifestyle, dividing their time between the Latvia and regular travel to United States and across Europe.
The household operates at a fast pace, and schedules may change. For this reason, flexibility, composure, and the ability to maintain structure in a fluid environment are highly valued.
There is one child in the family a 10-year-old boy who follows an online homeschooling programme. This arrangement requires active engagement, daily presence, and the ability to maintain focus and routine throughout the day.
The family’s objective is not supervision alone, but the development of internal discipline, consistent routines, and a broader engagement with life beyond digital distractions.

The Role

This is not a traditional nanny position.

The role is that of a mentor and companion a mature male presence who can provide structure, guidance, and stability in the child’s daily life.

The successful candidate will be expected not merely to supervise, but to help establish and maintain a sustainable daily framework.

A key aspect of the role is supporting the child’s focus, encouraging consistent habits, and contributing positively to his development within a changing daily environment.

The family remains actively involved and supportive in maintaining structure and routine.

Candidate Profile

  • Candidate with proven experience working with school-aged children;
  • Background in mentoring, teaching, tutoring, or coaching is highly desirable;
  • Ability to establish authority calmly and respectfully;
  • Strong boundary-setting skills delivered with consistency;
  • High level of personal discipline and ability to lead by example;
  • Emotional maturity and resilience;
  • Fluent Russian and strong English language skills;
  • Comfortable working within a flexible schedule;
  • EU passport required, with eligibility for visa-free travel to the USA.

  • All travel expenses fully covered by the family;
  • Salary of 3500–4500 net per month, negotiable depending on experience;

  • Establishing and maintaining a consistent daily routine;
  • Monitoring and regulating screen time;
  • Supporting online education and academic engagement;
  • Encouraging healthy daily habits, including hygiene, sleep, and nutrition;
  • Supervising the intake of vitamins and general wellbeing routines;
  • Introducing and maintaining regular physical activity;
  • Encouraging hobbies and interests beyond digital activities;
  • Accompanying the child during family travel;
  • Acting as a reliable mentor figure within the child’s daily life.
