Senior Back-End Developer

Aranet, a brand of SAF Tehnika, provides wireless sensor solutions across industries. Aranet Cloud is our core platform for accessing, analyzing, and managing sensor data. You’ll join an experienced backend team responsible for the platform’s stability, architecture, and code quality, while helping drive new features and product improvements from problem to production. This is a senior individual contributor role with no formal line management, but significant influence over what gets built and how.

• Turn product requirements and research into technical plans, proposing solutions where none are prescribed;
• Own new backend functionality end-to-end, from design and implementation to testing, release, and follow-up;
• Collaborate with experienced colleagues who bring deep platform knowledge and a strong focus on code quality;
• Support a backend developer working across both the cloud platform and device side, keeping you connected to the hardware;
• As you gain system knowledge, help shape its future and propose structural improvements where they benefit the product.

• Strong backend development experience, with a track record of shipping and owning complex functionality in production
• Strong Go experience, or deep backend expertise in another language with the ability to learn Go quickly
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, messaging/event-driven systems (NATS), and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus and Graylog, plus automated testing and CI/CD
• Good judgment on when to iterate quickly and when to invest in a robust solution from the start
• Curious and proactive, with the ability to propose and explain new ideas
• Clear communication with both technical and non-technical colleagues
