Job Description

Wandoo Finance is a fast-growing global fintech with HQ in Latvia and operations across Poland, Spain, Romania, Peru, and Lithuania. The role involves being an integral part of a four-person data team, understanding how data is produced, and participating in building data solutions to answer business questions properly. The job includes handling incoming analysis requests but also deciding which questions are worth answering and defining what good analysis looks like. The analyst will answer questions that drive decisions, own the analysis process end to end, dig into the why behind requests, learn how data is created and provide feedback to engineers, and set analytical standards by sharing findings and questioning numbers.

Requirements

SQL — non-negotiable. Joins, window functions, CTEs, and the patience to figure out why the number is wrong.
Excel — non-negotiable. Real Excel, not "I can build a pivot table."
Critical thinking. When a result surprises you, your first instinct is to verify it, not to send it.
Communication. You can explain a finding to a country CEO who has three minutes and zero interest in your methodology.
Independence. You'll get context and priorities, not step-by-step instructions.
Curiosity about the business. Lending, collections, portfolio quality, marketing spend — numbers without business context are trivia.

Nice to have

Power BI, or any serious BI tool — the tool matters less than knowing what a good chart is
Python — genuinely optional to start
Experience in lending, fintech, or any high-volume transactional business
Exposure to working across more than one market or country
