Senior Hardware Solution Engineer

You can become a part of our success story and join exciting journey within Caljan. You would be part of global team who is working in different locations. In your role you will be working in our new facilities, which just been freshly finished, and office is in Liepāja, Latvia.

Responsibilities:

Customer project execution:

• Support sales department
• Create electrical design and bill of material list according to sales order, customer requirements and relevant standards
• Optimize PLC program according to project related functions
• Assist manufacturing in troubleshooting problems
• Update relevant project specification documentation according to companies’ project model and relevant standards
• Provide support to field technicians/ customers including troubleshooting service and assist with spare part requirements

Tasks within electrical engineering department:

• Design electrical drawings in E-Plan according to customer requirements and relevant standards
• Analysis of the designed HW, to make changes to the HW configuration
• Performance adaptation and optimization of HW configuration
• Design hardware solution and ensure it would fulfill risk assessment requirements
• Testing configured hardware together with software engineer
• Preparation of relevant documentation for developed device, including evaluation of safety function level
• Ensure schemes related to electrical design are updated, documented, and implemented

Requirements:

• Higher education in electrical engineering or another relevant field
• 3-year experience in similar role
• Experience of making electrical designs according to relevant standards
• Experience in working with E-Plan will be advantage
• Experience in working with safety calculation tools such as SISTEMA, PAScal, Siemens safety evaluation tool will be an advantage
• Experience in cost analysis and optimization
• Fluent English, as we work as part of international team
• Basic knowledge of PLC programming
