Job Description

ITAB Latvia, manufactures, sells, develops, and installs full-service retail concepts, including lighting, furniture, metal shelving systems, checkout counters, self-service systems, and other modern technological solutions. The Latvian team provides the production and installation of retail furniture equipment in more than 30 countries.

We are looking for a Senior Procurement Specialist who can proactively manage procurement processes in a manufacturing company, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality supply solutions, fostering strategic supplier partnerships, and optimizing resources to achieve the company’s business objectives. The role includes both managing a procurement category and coordinating the procurement team.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience as a procurement specialist in an international manufacturing company.
  • Experience in wooden furniture manufacturing or a related industry will be considered an advantage.
  • Ability to proactively plan, manage, and coordinate procurement processes.
  • A LEAN certificate or knowledge of LEAN principles will be considered an advantage.
  • Strong analytical mindset and willingness to continuously develop knowledge and skills.
  • Advanced computer skills, including experience working with ERP systems.
  • Excellent English language skills, both spoken and written, for cooperation with the company’s international partners and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and organize procurement activities within the timber/raw wood segment, ensuring timely deliveries, quality standards, and cost control.
  • Manage supplier relationships, conduct market analysis, request quotations, negotiate prices and terms, and conclude contracts with local and international partners.
  • Coordinate order fulfillment, resolve operational issues, and identify potential problems in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate and support the procurement team by setting priorities, allocating tasks, and promoting professional development.
  • Analyze data and provide recommendations for optimizing procurement costs.
  • Collaborate with production, planning, and quality teams to ensure a continuous material supply chain and support company objectives.
