Requirements

Checks front office accounting records for accuracy and, on a daily basis, summarizes and compiles information for the hotel's financial records. Tracks room revenue, occupancy percentages, and other front office operating statistics. Runs daily a number of financial reports to be distributed to the management team. Posts room charges and room taxes to guest accounts including guest transactions not posted during the day by the front office cashier. Verifies all account postings and balances made during the day by front desk cashier and agents. Monitors the current status of house accounts, Discount, and other promotional programs. Is able to function as a PBX, Room service order taker after 2 am and as a front desk agent especially in terms of check-in and check-out procedures all with genuine warmth and professionalism. Run End of day process / Night audit process on the Property management software.


Essential Functions
  • Demonstrates team work by co-operating and assisting colleagues as needed.
  • Greets and welcomes every guest upon arrival.
  • Registers guest into the Hotel in a prompt and courteous manner using up selling techniques to maximize room rates; prepares for group check-in and check-out, VIP arrivals.
  • Balances and audits for accuracy room revenue and process No Shows. assists in the preparation of all reports relevant to daily revenues.
  • Balances and audits for accuracy all room and tax charges, cashier reports and house accounts.
  • Completes and transmits daily management, accounting reports and supporting documents.
  • Communicates with other hotel departments as necessary to resolve accounting discrepancies and to request or provide information.
  • Communicates effectively and genuinely with guests, team members and other departments.
  • Maintains a friendly and caring demeanor at all times in a fast pace environment.
  • Maintains a professional image at all times that falls within the hotel and company guidelines for appearance and dress.
  • Responds quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner; follows up to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Accurate and timely completion of the Daily Pathfinder Review.

 

Company offers

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate required.  Some college or college degree preferred.  Degree in hospitality management preferred.

Experience:

Prior hotel experience preferred.  Prior experience within a Four Star hotel brand preferred.

Computer Skill & Other Technical Skills:

Ability to utilize computer software and hardware required.    Ability to easily maneuver on computer keyboard required, multitask,

Ability to learn, utilize and communicate effectively via company issued communication devices (e.g. Nextel phones, etc).

Communication:

Ability to comprehend and speak English to understand and respond to information and address advanced guest requests required both verbally and in writing. Knowledge of additional language(s) preferred.
